John and Christine were invited to talk about the work of Busega Scotland at the Lhanbryde Women’s Institute. The national Women’s Institute was created by Scottish women in 1917. It is designed to bring women together, with a vision to educate, to share, to campaign, to learn, to socialise, to build a community and of course, to have fun. They also share the secrets of the perfect scone!
With mention of fun and a scone John and Christine were right in there. The ladies enjoyed the talk and asked some insightful questions. Christine then had the diplomatically sensitive task of judging a baking competition for Halloween biscuits. All were equally perfect, just like a WI scone!
We must also thank the Lhanbryde ladies for contributing £68 to Busega Scotland funds. It really was a very good evening.
