SHRIKE SAFARIS
SHRIKE SAFARIS SUPPORTING BUSEGA SCOTLAND
Shrike Safaris is a highly respected Tanzanian safari company based in Mwanza. It was formed in 2007 by Tanzanian naturalist Mark James and uses local staff and expertise.
John and Christine and family visited the Serengeti National Park and Ngorogoro Crater with Shrike Safaris in 2016. The service provided by Shrike was first class and John and Mark then met to discuss a partnership agreement.
Mark is particularly interested in the Mayega Children’s Centre, as it is just 10 miles from the Ndabaka gate entrance to the Serengeti’s Western Corridor. He is very complimentary about the work of Busega Scotland and wants Shrike Safaris to support the excellent work of the staff at the centre. Mark said, ‘this is what we as Tanzanians should be doing’. Shrike Safari’s contribution to the partnership is very impressive. A page on their new website will be devoted to Busega Scotland and the company will make donations to support the children at Mayega. Mark is happy to recommend the work of Busega Scotland to his clients, in the hope that they will also feel able to donate.
Rightly, the last word should be with Christine and the Serengeti experience. Christine said, ‘it is hard to describe the wonder of the landscape and its wildlife, except to say it was truly amazing. We hope future Busega Scotland volunteers will be able to share that experience’.
John and Christine are happy to personally recommend Shrike Safaris, who have an excellent website www.shrikesafaris.org/
Many thanks must go to Shrike Safaris for their support of Busega Scotland.
